Borosil Glass has announced its association with Inspire Institute of Sports to help Indian athletes realise their Olympic dreams. India’s leading glassware brand will be supporting the premier institute of sport in its quest to help promising talent in their pursuit for Olympic glory.
Borosil Glass, India’s leading glassware brand, has tied up with the Inspire Institute of Sport in their quest to help Indian athletes achieve their Olympic dreams. The partners who formed the alliance last year with a three-year commitment for the Indian sports and athletes will now work more aggressively towards their common goal.
The partnership with IIS will also see Borosil pilot their campaign to increase awareness among young athletes about the dangers of plastic for their health and the environment. They will champion this cause by making IIS a plastic-free zone, Borosil Glass has stated in a Press release.
Borosil will provide over 200 athletes based out of the sprawling 42-acre campus with their Hydra range of products to ensure the athletes stay healthy and well hydrated. They will also equip the institute with products in areas like water coolers and the cafeteria like juicers and sandwich makers. These are high food-grade quality stainless steel and glass products which are safe and healthy for the athletes as well as the environment.
Borosil has been supporting IIS during the current Olympic cycle (2017-2020) and was one of the first corporate partners of the state-of-art sports training facility which was recently inaugurated in Vijayanagar, Karnataka.

This is Borosil’s second significant alliance with Indian sports in addition to their recently announced long-term partnership with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) as official hydration partners for the Indian contingent at the 18th Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang as well as other key events including the upcoming Youth Olympic Games in October.

The Institute, which features international standard training infrastructure for the sports of athletics, boxing, judo and wrestling, along with a state-of-the-art 42,000 sq. ft. High-Performance Centre and a 5,000 sq. ft. cafeteria, is a unique initiative led by the JSW Group to bring a world class Olympic training centre to India which can provide Indian athletes access to the most advanced infrastructure, coaching and sports science within the country. Close to 150 young athletes have received residential scholarships to train at the institute and numerous elite athletes and professional teams have used the IIS facilities to prepare for tournaments and for injury rehabilitation and conditioning.
The institute is India’s first privately funded high performance training centre that trains talented young athletes across five Olympic disciplines of Wrestling, Boxing, Judo, Athletics and Swimming. The unique initiative led by the JSW Group brings together 20 corporate donors who are collectively funding the operations of the institute through CSR funding. Led by an Advisory Board comprising senior Indian sporting legends like Abhinav Bindra, Sourav Ganguly, Mahesh Bhupathi and high-performance expert Dr. Tom Patrick, IIS will offer about 300 talented young athletes’ full scholarships in a completely residential, world class training environment.
