Facebook is in a hiring mode to strengthen its content acquisition arm. The social media platform, venturing into the content streaming business, is looking for “an experienced Strategic Partnerships Leader to manage sports partnerships across South East Asia”.
“This role will serve as a key member of the APAC Sports Partnership team, focusing on creating partnerships with media, leagues, teams and athletes in innovative ways,” Joyee Biswas, Head of Sports Partnerships, APAC at Facebook, has published on his official LinkedIn account. The position will be based and operate from Facebook’s Singapore office.

The Strategic Partnership Leader will be responsible to:
  • Manage strategy, implementation and optimization of Facebook’s partnerships and programs with sports media, leagues, teams and athletes
  • Be a point of contact with the sports community and work with internal cross-functional teams to build high impact programs
  • Collaborate with partners to develop innovative and high impact social integrations, and drive operational management of partnership projects
  • Be an internal advocate within Facebook for partners, including with product teams
  • Work with relevant internal teams to ensure that Facebook is taking partner input into account in relevant product and policy decisions
  • Track, analyse and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners
Candidates with a minimum of seven years combined experience in the functions of brand management, content management, marketing or partnerships; and over two years’ experience in sports industry, with focus on digital initiatives and partnerships can apply for the post.
The applicants also require the project management experience, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects on deadline; exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to serve as a spokesperson for Facebook; demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans; ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally and to be a rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
