Zinedine Zidane following Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to Juventus: Reports

Former French football icon Zinedine Zidane is reportedly following Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to Juventus. The former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is reported to be set to sign with Serie A club Juventus as a technical adviser. That means Zidane will not join the Turin-based club Juventus as a coach or manager, thus living up to his words at his last Press conference with Real Madrid where he had stated that he would not be coaching this season.
The signing will be a sort of home coming for the former French star, who has played for Juventus for the most of his professional career. Zidane, however, is currently out of work after quitting the Bernabeu at the end of last season. He will be joining Juventus’ technical staff to work with Fabio Paratici as a director. The news first reported by Spain’s Libertad Digital is seconded by radio station El Primer Palo.
The club, however, is tight-lipped about the Zidane’s signing.
The former France midfielder has served Juventus for five years as a player before Real Madrid had acquired him in 2001 for then a record transfer fee of $64.5 million. In that five-year stint, Zidane had won two Serie A titles with Juventus.
Juventus is making big investments to revamp the club team in a big to bring the Champions League title home. The €100 million transfer deal with Real Madrid for Ronaldo earlier this month has been the club’s biggest deal ever for a single player.
Juventus start firm favourites for the Serie A title this season too. However, the real test for the rejuvenated club lies in bagging the coveted Champions League crown.
