Asian Paints’ Jalaj Dani takes charge of Indian Super League controlling body FSDL!

Asian Paints’ co-promoter Jalaj Dani has reportedly taken the charge of the Football Sports Development Limited, the IMG-Reliance Industries-owned company that operates the Indian Super League (ISL).
Even as an official confirmation and announcement is awaited, the news is broken by one Swapananeel Parasar @Swapyo. “JUST IN: @asianpaints co-promoter Jalaj Ashwin Dani takes charge of Football Sports Development Limited (a JV b/w @IMGReliance & @StarSportsIndia), the controlling authority of the #HeroISL ahead of the 2018-19 season,” read the tweet.

Reliance-IMG CEO Sundar Raman did not confirm or deny the news. Citing business, he told Insidesport.co to contact the Reliance-IMG media department.
Dani, 47, a chemical engineer, has close connections with sports enterprise and IMG-Reliance. His wife Vita Dani, a niece of the Reliance group founder Dhirubhai Ambani, is the Chairperson of the 11evenSports. The company owns the Ultimate Table Tennis league IP in India. Vita is actively involved with various sports enterprises. She is an owner of Chennaiyin F.C., president of the Mumbai City District Table Tennis Association, patron of Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association, Chairperson of Organising committee of Reliance 20th Asian Junior TT Championships 2014 and Reliance 2013 Junior & Cadet Open, ITTF Premier Junior Circuit and vigorously involved in Mumbai Indians.
Vita’s brothers Hital Meswani and Nikhil Meswani serve on the board of Reliance Industries, which owns 4.9% stake in Asian Paints through Ojasvi Trading.

Dani, in May this year, had also joined the HDFC board of directors as an independent director.
