A December date for likely Pacquiao-Mayweather rematch

likely Pacquiao-Mayweather rematch

A rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr may take place in the first week of December – the 1st or the 8th of December, either of the first two Saturdays of the month.
Pacquiao and Mayweather have hinted at a rematch as the Filipino boxing icon is finalising the details of his next fight. The Pakistan-origin British boxer Amir Khan is among the other options if the Pacquiao-Mayweather rematch plans don’t work out. “There’s also Amir Khan, Terence Crawford and Adrien Broner,” Pacquiao has revealed as he is finalising the plans for his next bout.
The 39-year-old pro boxer from the Philippines has hinted Mayweather is ready for another return from retirement. Mayweather on his social media accounts has confirmed the possibility of his return and a rematch with Pacquiao.

A city in Japan can be the venue of the high-octane boxing night in December.
“We will finalise the fight this week, either Mayweather or somebody else, where and when, what date,” Pacquiao is reported to have said. An announcement about the fight card and the match date either December 1 or December 8 is expected later this week.
Mayweather holds an amazing record of winning all his 50 professional bouts. In his previous bout with Pacquiao, Mayweather had walked out winner.

The duo met in 2015 in one of the most highly anticipated fights boxing has ever seen, with Mayweather coming out as an eventual winner in a points victory.
