adidas has forayed into sports sponsorship in the Kashmir Valley with a partnership with Real Kashmir Football Club, the first I-League team from the Valley.
A formal announcement will be made later by the adidas Group managing director Dave Thomas.
Real Kashmir Football Club is elevated to the I-League, the All India Football Federation Top Division club league, for the 2018-19 season following their Second Division title triumph last year. The Sri Nagar-based professional football club had prevailed over Hindustan FC in the I-League 2nd Division final. The club is currently participation in four divisions of the AIFF I-League.
