Indigo Paints, a leading decorative paint manufacturer, has signed cricketer MS Dhoni as brand ambassador.
The company plans to launch advertising campaign (including television, print and digital) by August. The brand is planning to spend over ₹200 crore on its marketing campaigns over the next three years.
Hemant Jalan, MD, Indigo Paints, said: “We are confident that his (Dhoni’s) fan following in every corner of the country will make our brand memorable and create a high recall value.”
Jalan further added that the appointment has been received with unprecedented enthusiasm within its sales team and the paint dealer community.
Arun Pandey, CMD, Rhiti Group, that manages MS Dhoni, said: “The paint industry in India will see a lot of agility and growth in the next few years, especially with schemes like AMRUT and Housing For All, which are likely to drive demand. Indigo Paints, with its wide range of innovative products are well poised to ride this growth wave.”
Indigo Paints has been in business since 2000 and has launched new paint concepts and categories such as floor paints, ceiling paints and PU Enamel, among others.
The company said that this differentiation has helped Indigo Paints grow at a CAGR 40 per cent in the last one decade.
