FIFA World Cup 2018: Barcelona representation creates this world record

Spanish La Liga Club Barcelona has created a unique feat for its representation in the FIFA World Cup 2018. The feat is unique in the 88-year-old FIFA World Cup history.
This does not belong to stars like Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. This is a complete team effort rather.
There is a complete Barcelona Eleven in action in the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia with at least one player present for all the three permitted substitutions. Across all groups and all teams, there are 14 Barcelona stars representing their respective countries. No new feat is this.
So what makes the La Liga giants stand apart and create a FIFA World Cup record.
The World Cup unique is that Barcelona is the first football club ever to have its players spread across all the eight Groups in the FIFA World Cup 2018. No other professional club has achieved this distinction in the 88-years of the FIFA World Cup.
The 25-time La Liga Champions, with four Champions League titles, under their belt, Barcelona is a combine for best talent from across the world. Such is the strength of the club, that it becomes quite natural for the club players to get representation in their national sides.
The 14 Barcelona players in action at the FIFA World Cup 2018 have their presence across nine teams. Incidentally, all these teams are placed in different groups – which grants Barcelona this rare distinction.
Uruguayan star Luis Luis Suárez is the Barcelona representation in Group A. Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, Gerard Piqué and Jordi Alba are representing Spain in Group B.
