Borosil inks multi-year partnership

Borosil will extend commercial support to Pro Kabaddi franchisee Haryana Steelers as the Principal Partner of the team.
Borosil Glass Works Ltd., India’s leading consumer products brand, has today (Thursday) announced an association with VIVO Pro Kabaddi team Haryana Steelers for a three-year period.
Through this association, the Borosil Glass will be supporting the Kabaddi franchise. The brand will also be piloting an awareness campaign about the dangers of plastic for their health and the environment. Borosil’s first association with a sports team franchise in the country will also mean the brand’s debut in Kabaddi. Prior to this, Borosil has also joined hands with the Indian Olympic Association and the Inspire Institute of Sport.
Borosil will provide the team with high food-grade quality stainless steel and glass products that are safe, healthy and environment-friendly. Their campaign to reduce plastic waste is also in line with the Steelers’ larger campaign this season to ‘go green’, which they started with the implementation of a paperless ticketing system for all home games at the Motilal Nehru School of Sport, Rai, Sonepat between October 12-18.
Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Shreevar Kheruka, Managing Director, Borosil Glass Works Ltd. said, “I am very happy to announce our association with the Haryana Steelers. We are glad to support the team and find synergy in their green initiative. We will support them to facilitate plastic free zones at their home games. At Borosil, it is our long term endeavour to support athletes across different disciplines of sports and celebrate their efforts and victories.”
“I’d like to welcome Borosil aboard our journey in this season’s Pro Kabaddi League. The Haryana Steelers have always looked to stand for causes beyond the mat and Borosil is driving the same endeavour with their work for the environment. Ours is a partnership that wants to win on the mat and off it too,” said Mustafa Ghouse, CEO Haryana Steelers, on bringing Borosil to an expanding list of partners for the season and beyond.
The Steelers commence their season 6 campaign against the Puneri Paltan on the 8th of October in Chennai and continue on to their home leg, where they will begin by playing Season 5 finalists Gujarat Fortunegiants on Saturday, 12th of October. That game will be followed by games against UMumba (October 13), Puneri Paltan (October 14), Jaipur Pink Panthers (October 16), UMumba again (October 17) and end their home leg against Delhi team, Dabang Delhi on October 18th.
