Italian football giants Juventus have announced a multi-year deal with Chinese sports media company Wanbo Sports.
The deal will see Wanbo Sports become the regional partner of the Serie A champions and contribute to the Club’s growing presence in Asia, leveraging with the increasing Bianconeri fan base in the region.
The exact length and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Wanbo Sports is one of the leading Chinese sports media company operating across Asia that claims to be accumulating an average of half a million monthly subscribers.
The company is also an official sponsor of Royal Spanish Football Federation, the governing body of football in Spain, and the official media partner of Spanish national football team.
The deal marks Juventus’ second regional partnership in China after it first signed a multi-year deal with China Merchant Banks in August to expand footprints in the Asian region.
Giorgio Ricci, Co-Chief Revenue Officer – Global Partnership and Corporate Revenues – said, “We are pleased to announce this partnership with Wanbo Sports, a leading brand in the Asian market. This agreement confirms the Club’s desire to establish itself in a market like China’s and will allow us to be even closer to our supporters in Asia.”
