TV Today’s digital platform, SportsTak plans day-long coverage for England-India Tests

TV Today’s digital platform

TV Today network’s Hindi sports news digital platform SportsTak is going big with the England-India Test series. The day-long live streaming will have a preview show on each match day, mid innings reviews at the lunch and the tea breaks and a wraparound show after stumps. TV Today Sports Editor and senior cricket presenter Vikrant Gupta will host the show with the host of TV Today cricket experts – former India captain Mohd Azharuddin, former Test star Madan Lal, international cricketer and seasoned cricket analyst Akash Chopra and former India off-spinner Nikhil Chopra.
Harbhajan Singh is reporting on the series for SportsTak and TV Today from England, where he is also a Sky Sports panellist for live broadcast of the series.
SportsTak is all set to launch a cricket legend to its rich penal of cricket analyst. The “legend “is expected to join the SportsTak and Aajtak Sports show by the end of the ongoing Birmingham Test. The deal is done but details are kept under wraps.
The cricket coverage on SportsTak has an interactive format where the viewers can ask questions and discuss cricket with the SportsTak team and the panellists. The digital platform, with almost seven lakh subscribers, has recorded 100 million views in less than 11 months ever since its launch on September 11, 2017.
The show is free from the bounds of time and timings constraints of the 24-hour news channels face. Here the expert panel gets the desired time and windows to make their point and express themselves.
“Cricket Special” shows on Aajtak have more often than not been the No. 1 sports show among Hindi news channels. The SportsTak takes that a step ahead for the liberty of timing and its informal, free-flowing format – the live in true sense with no scripts.
